Fire in the Sky for Curated Quilts
This little 13x13 quilt is my submission for Curated Quilt's next issue. The theme for this issue is curves and I used the selected color palette to piece together some improve curves.
I've been wanting to try out an idea about including the raw edge of the selvedges in a quilt. I find their furry little texture really fun and this seemed like a perfect place for it. After I pieced it, I handquilted it with chartreuse, white, and pink thread. I decided to go with a facing for this quilt since a binding would be proportionally large.
If my quilt is selected, I'll be shipping it off to Curated Quilts in January! I don't often make many mini quilts since I don't have much wallspace to display them but that might just change! This little thing was so satisfying!

I love this little quilt and hope/expect to see it in the magazine! The quilting adds such great texture, and I’m happy to see I’m not the only one captivated by fuzzy selvages!
