I've spent a lot of time thinking hard about Tiny Orchard Quilts and what it is I really love to do. After a lot of thinking, I've come to the decision to end fabric sales.
I love fabric--really! However, it takes a lot of time to order, sort, manage inventory, deal with taxes, paperwork, and create all the listings for each fabric. That time that is taken away from other goals--like writing patterns, making youtube video tutorials, and working on my own quilts. My remaining inventory will be up in my Etsy Shop.
Now--the more exciting side of the coin! I have a STACK of quilt designs that have been sitting around waiting for my time. I have three currently being tested but I have a few more that will be ready to go soon. Are you interested in testing a quilt pattern?
Here is what I'm looking for:
- general feedback on pattern directions/clarity/diagrams
- making a test block or two to check my measurements and make sure the block goes together smoothly (or where it doesnt!)
- double checking my math for yardage requirements.
I'm looking for people of all skill levels. If I design a quilt that I think is beginner friendly, I want to know what a beginner thinks! While there is always a deadline for feedback, I only ever need a block or two put together. Once your name is on the list, I'll email out some basic pattern info and a picture/diagram of the project. You can pick and choose which ones you want to help out on.
In the end, you'll get the final polished pdf of the pattern as well as your name and Instagram account in the thank you's on the pattern.
Here is the form to fill out if you want to join in on the fun!
